Taylors Kenya Heirloom Espresso 10 Coffee Capsules 50G
What makes Kenyan coffee so celebrated? Big, lively fruit flavors and heirloom bean varietals ‰ÛÒ captured by us in a fresh, simple capsule. We call our Kenyan coffee capsules ‰Û÷Heirloom‰۪ because they come from the country‰۪s traditional varietals ‰ÛÒ some cultivated since the beginnings of the Kenyan coffee industry, others identified and cataloged in the years that followed. Their taste profile typifies the flavors which have made Kenya, and much of East Africa, so famous for coffee growing ‰ÛÒ a lively, fruity quality, represented here by hints of blackcurrant and apricot jam, and fragrant, floral notes. Kenyan coffee is highly sought after. The country's balance of sunlight, rainfall and acidic soil creates excellent growing conditions ‰ÛÒ but despite its closeness to Ethiopia (considered to be the birthplace of coffee) the Kenyan coffee industry is younger than you might expect, with commercial cultivation only really beginning around the turn of the 20th century. It‰۪s notable for having few large-scale suppliers. Instead, more than two thirds of Kenya's coffee comes from smallholder farmers who work in cooperatives. Strength 8 - a slightly shorter roast which lets the fruit notes shine. 100% of this coffee comes from Rainforest Alliance Certified‰ã¢ farms.
